The Trinbago Unified Calypsonians’ Organisation (TUCO) is mourning the passing of veteran calypsonian Brother Valentino, widely known as the People’s Calypsonian.
In a statement on Wednesday, TUCO said his fearless voice and powerful social commentary gave expression to the struggles, hopes and experiences of generations.
The organisation said his contribution to calypso would remain an enduring part of Trinidad and Tobago’s cultural legacy.
TUCO also extended condolences to his family, loved ones, fellow artistes and all those touched by his music.
