Two people have been arrested for being in possession of fraudulent COVID-19 Vaccination Cards.
TTT News understands an anti-crime exercise was conducted on Tuesday in the North Eastern and Port of Spain Divisions.
During the exercise, several search warrants for forged documents were executed.
In one incident, officers conducted a search at Hitler Street in Laventille and found one fraudulent COVID-19 Vaccination Card, along with a magazine with one round of ammunition. The items belonged to a 34 year old man.
During another search at a house located at Besson Street in Port of Spain, police found another fraudulent COVID-19 Vaccination Card. A woman was arrested in connection with that discovery.
The two people are expected to be formally charged for the offences and will appear virtually before a Magistrate this week to answer the charges.
