Two men have been arrested, while another was fatally shot, following a home invasion in Valsayn North on Monday.
According to police, four male suspects, armed with weapons, entered a Home for the Aged along Valsayn Avenue around 1pm by scaling a perimeter wall.
One of the occupants of the Home was confronted and threatened, while the other residents raised an alarm, which led to the suspects fleeing the scene.
Police say officers of the North Central Division Task Force responded and conducted searches in the area, resulting in the arrest of a 22-year-old from Port of Spain and a 14-year-old from St Joseph.
Police then proceeded to Farm Road Extension in Curepe, where they engaged in a confrontation with an armed suspect, who was fatally shot.
The TTPS confirmed that one suspect remains at large.
