President Donald Trump says the US has captured Venezuela’s leader, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife, as he confirms a “large-scale” strike against the country.
He adds that Maduro has been flown out of Venezuela.
Venezuela has announced a state of national emergency and rejected and denounced what it calls “military aggression.”
President Trump said he would hold a news conference at 11am to share further details.
