The Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs has announced that the USS Gravely (DDG-107) will conduct a port visit to Trinidad and Tobago from October 26 to 30, docking in Port of Spain. During the same period, the 22nd U.S. Marine Expeditionary Unit will engage in joint training exercises with the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF), demonstrating the United States’ commitment to regional security and cooperative efforts throughout the Caribbean.
The visit aims to strengthen military-to-military cooperation between the two nations through expert exchanges focused on core infantry tactics, maintenance procedures, and advanced medical capabilities. Utilizing TTDF facilities, the joint training will enhance tactical proficiency, build mutual trust, strengthen interoperability, reinforce long-term defense cooperation, and improve operational readiness among partner forces in the region.
