The United States travel advisory for Trinidad and Tobago has been updated.
Though Trinidad and Tobago remains at Travel Advisory Level 3, which advises citizens to reconsider travel, the United States Department of State removed the kidnapping indicator on Monday.
The advisory noted that although violent crime in Trinidad and Tobago has dropped significantly since 2024, crime remains a challenge throughout the country.
It noted the risk of terrorist violence, including terrorist attacks in Trinidad and Tobago. The advisory also highlighted increased caution in rural areas due to health risks.
