Trinidad and Tobago’s javelin gold medallist Keshorn Walcott won his third consecutive Sportsman of the Year Award for 2025, after being honoured at the 63rd First Citizens Sports Awards.
Following the achievement, Walcott said it is always great to be recognised by one’s own country, while adding that he is confident heading into the 2026 season.
Walcott, who has won gold at the Olympics and the World Athletics Championships, said one of his key motivations moving forward is mentoring the next generation of athletes.
