West Indies Lose First ODI

The West Indies went 1-nil down to Sri Lanka in their three match ODI series, after a five wicket defeat in match one, on Sunday.

An innings high of 74 runs by Sherfane Rutherford, along with 37 from Keacy Carty guided the Windies to 185 for 4, after their innings was cut short at 38.4 overs due to the rain.

Chasing a DLS adjusted target of 232. Sri Lanka got off to great start with an impressive 69 runs from Nishan Madushka off 54 balls.

An additional 77 runs by captain Charith Asalanka guided the host team to 234 for 5, to secure the win.
