An employee of Anand Low Price Group of Companies was injured in a fire that broke out at the South Haven Mall in Debe.
A media release from the company says the fire broke out at 9:45 on Tuesday, causing serious damage.One of their workers was injured in the incident, and all stores were evacuated as a precaution. Fire tenders from the Mon Repos Fire Station responded and put out the blaze. A T&TEC crew was also on hand to disconnect electrical lines.
ALPG says they are currently cooperating with authorities and awaiting the results of a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the fire. South Haven is owned by Anand Ramnarine, who also manages a chain of Anand Low Price Supermarkets and gyms.
