Eighty three steelbands have registered for Pan Trinbago’s events in “A Taste of Carnival 2022.”
Beginning from this weekend, 16 Large, 23 Medium, 23 Small, and 27 Single Pan Bands will audition for places in two events hosted by Pan Trinbago.
The first of these, “Pan in De Sancoche,” is carded for Saturday February 19th. The event will feature 12 bands in both the Single Pan and Small Conventional Bands categories.
The second event, “Musical Showdown In De Big Yard,” will take place on Saturday February 26th and will feature the “bigger guns in pan” – the Medium and Large Conventional Bands.
Both events will be held at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain. Patrons will have a choice of seating accommodation with Pods comprising six or nine persons in Carnival City and in the Grand Stand.
All venues are Safe Zones and are open to fully vaccinated patrons and artistes only.
