Ninety-five newly sworn Special Reserve Police officers are now undergoing specialised training in school-oriented policing and will be deployed to high-risk schools across Trinidad and Tobago when the new school term begins.
They are part of the 247 officers of Batch 1 of 2025 who officially took their oath of service at a Graduation and Swearing-In Ceremony attended by Minister of Homeland Security, Roger Alexander.
The officers – 147 men and 100 women – began training in May and completed more than 450 hours of academic and practical instruction in areas such as criminal law, police duties, traffic laws, ethics, first aid, firearms, and community-oriented policing.
The Minister reminded the new officers to carry out their duties with integrity, discipline, and compassion.
