Security Boost For Savannah Following MOH Employee’s Murder

Increased police patrols will be deployed to the Queen’s Park Savannah following the recent murder of a Ministry of Health employee in the area.

Minister of Homeland Security Roger Alexander described the killing as a matter of grave national concern, prompting intensified policing and intelligence-led operations.

He said the Queen’s Park Savannah is a prominent public space, underscoring the need for swift action.

“Additional foot, mobile, and intelligence-led patrols will be focused on that particular area. Mr Speaker, the Homicide Bureau of Investigation is also pursuing certain leads. They have received information, intelligence, and evidence that could assist the matter in moving forward.”
