Habitat for Humanity’s “Let’s Open the Door” campaign has moved into the City of San Fernando.
The launch took place on Wednesday morning at Harris Promenade.
Communications Officer for Habitat for Humanity Quinton Dickson explained that it is part of the organisation’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
“We would have been in existence, as I said, for 50 years, and we would have helped in excess of 65 million families globally. And so to celebrate that, we have launched this global campaign called Let’s Open the Door. Specific to Trinidad and Tobago, we have taken this campaign from the greens of LRC at the UWI campus, St. Augustine, to the fields of Port of Spain, Brian Lara Promenade, and today we are at Harris Promenade.”
Mr. Dickson said the campaign will also be taken to the Esplanade in Scarborough, Tobago, next week and encouraged the public to get involved.
“So we are just trying to raise awareness for all the work that we do as an organisation because the goal and hope is to open 65 million more doors. We are asking the public to come out to meet us at the activations. Don’t be shy to come up to the doors even when you’re seeing the cameras. Come up, scan the QR codes, ask us questions about what the doors mean, what the campaign is about and how you can get involved.”
