Trinidad and Tobago is set to host the 40th Caribbean Association of Law Libraries Conference and Annual General Meeting at the Waterfront Judicial Centre in Port of Spain.
The four-day event brings together legal information professionals from across the Caribbean under the theme ‘CARALL@40: Celebrating the Past, Embracing the Future’.
Speaking at Monday’s opening ceremony, Chief Justice Ronnie Boodoosingh said law libraries play a vital role in ensuring justice is delivered fairly through reliable access to legal information.
He also called for stronger regional collaboration to improve access to judgments, preserve legal resources and embrace emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, while reaffirming the Judiciary’s commitment to strengthening legal information services across the region.
