The Office of the Attorney General recognises the interns and in-service trainees who have completed their placements within the organisation and acknowledges the valuable contributions they made during their time with the Ministry.
The programme provided participants with an opportunity to move beyond the classroom and gain practical experience within a professional public service environment. Assigned to various departments and units, the interns and in-service trainees were able to apply their academic knowledge to real-world tasks while developing a greater understanding of the work carried out by the Office of the Attorney General.
Throughout their placement, participants engaged in a range of activities and assignments that encouraged learning, collaboration and professional development. Working alongside experienced personnel, they gained exposure to the day-to-day operations of the Office and developed practical skills in areas such as communication, teamwork, time management, research, problem-solving
and workplace professionalism.
Addressing the interns and in-service trainees, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Indira RampaulCheddie urged them to uphold integrity in all that they do. She advised them to let their morals and values guide their decisions, particularly when faced with challenges or difficult choices. Mrs Rampaul-Cheddie also encouraged the participants to cultivate an attitude of gratitude,
acknowledging those who support and contribute to their development, and reminded them that success is not only about achieving their goals but also about doing so the right way, with honesty, respect, and a strong sense of purpose.
In her address, she reminded those present about the critical role of reputation, stressing that in the professional world, your reputation often precedes you. Maintaining a clean and honourable reputation can open doors and create valuable opportunities throughout one’s career.
The Office of the Attorney General extends congratulations to all interns and in-service trainees and expresses appreciation for the commitment and valuable contributions they have brought to the Ministry. The Ministry also acknowledged the supervisors and staff members who supported and guided the participants throughout their placements. As the participants move forward in their
academic and professional journeys, the Ministry encourages them to build on the knowledge and experiences gained, remain open to learning and continue to pursue opportunities that will enable them to contribute meaningfully to Trinidad and Tobago.
