A Ray Of Hope For Migrant Children

The fruition of concerted efforts to bring about an opportunity for education for Venezuelan migrant children came off on Thursday when a child-friendly activity centre, which is meant to assist them with learning, was inaugurated.

Called Ray of Hope, the Roman Catholic Archbishop Charles Jason Gordon explained that during the Covid-19 pandemic, 20 parishes of the church opened up to find ways to accommodate and help the migrants.

The Archbishop said that the parishes have pursued a ministry catering to the migrants which is real, tangible, and lasting.

The Living Waters Community, the Children’s Ark, as well as St. Dominic’s Parish in Penal all worked together to support the creation of the learning hub for the Venezuelan children.
