Michelle Lee Ahye earned Trinidad and Tobago’s 4th medal at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.
Lining up in the 100 Metre Women’s Final along with compatriot Reyare Thomas at the Chile National Stadium in Nunoa Santiago, Ahye ran out of Lane 2 while Thomas settled in Lane 8 and both were out of the blocks well in the clean start.
Ahye crossed the line in third in a time of 11.53 just behind Guyana’s Jasmine Abrams in 11.52, with the Gold Medal going to Cuba’s Yunisleidy Garcia who finished in 11.36.
Thomas finished in 6th with a time of 11.69.
