A charity fundraiser celebrating the music of Michael Jackson is combining entertainment with support for a shelter assisting women and children affected by domestic violence.
The event, hosted by Arazzi Restaurant, is part of the organisation’s ongoing effort to raise funds for charitable causes.
The fundraiser marks Arazzi Restaurant’s second charitable initiative for the year, with proceeds from the event directed towards a shelter providing support to survivors of domestic violence.
Managing Director Riaz Bhagaloo says the annual fundraising goal is to contribute one hundred thousand dollars towards charity, with this event expected to raise a significant portion of that target.
Mr Bhagaloo says the partnership with the shelter was chosen because of its work supporting battered women and children experiencing domestic violence.
The evening featured guests in costume, musical performances, and a Michael Jackson tribute, as organisers used the event to raise awareness and funds while bringing the community together.
Organisers say the fundraiser is part of a wider commitment to supporting charitable initiatives throughout the year.
