The TTCSI says economic transformation will require greater recognition of local talent and stronger support for service providers seeking to compete internationally.

At the launch of Services Week 2026, President Dianne Joseph outlined the organisation’s goal of building a services sector that contributes equally alongside energy by the end of the decade.

Joseph said the initiative will focus on recognising excellence, rewarding good work and encouraging businesses to expand beyond local markets.

She said Services Week 2026 will include discussions targeting small and medium-sized enterprises, along with an awards ceremony recognising entrepreneurs, innovators and service professionals.

The TTCSI says the annual initiative is aimed at strengthening the services sector, improving competitiveness and encouraging local businesses to pursue regional and international opportunities.

Services Week 2026 activities are scheduled for September, culminating with an awards ceremony recognising contributions to Trinidad and Tobago’s services industry.
