Former Arima North Secondary School footballer Kimani Dyer was shot and killed this morning while hunting with friends on Demerara Road, Arima.
According to a post on the Instagram page of Arima North Secondary School, the 17-year-old and his friend Keeshawn Edwards were both killed during the incident.
Dyer, who was awaiting his CSEC results, represented the Dial Dynamos at the Under-16 level in 2022 and 2023, winning the 2023 East Zone League and Knockout trophies.
He is now the third member of Arima North’s 2023 Under-16 team to have been shot and killed this year, following the tragic deaths of Ezekiel Ramdialsingh and Zwade Alleyne.
In the post, Arima North Secondary also extended their sympathy and condolences to his family and loved ones.
