‘Be Prepared to Face the Consequences’: Commissioner Issues Warning After 17 Officers Dismissed

Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro has publicly addressed the dismissal of 17 police officers, stressing that no one within the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is above accountability.

He made it clear that no officer is “sacred” and warned that misconduct will not be tolerated, emphasizing that those who engage in wrongdoing must be prepared to face the consequences of their actions.

The commissioner made it clear that he is committed to maintaining order and discipline within the police service, while sending a strong warning that misconduct will not be tolerated and will be met with decisive action.

Commissioner Guevarro said that as the TTPS continues its zero-tolerance approach to crime, members of the public can expect a renewed, firm and decisive response to criminal activity.
He emphasized that officers will be proactive in pursuing offenders and enforcing the law, while reiterating that no one is above the law and that all individuals will be held accountable for their actions, regardless of their position or status.
