Nikoli Blackman was in dominant form on the final day of the Aquatic Sports Association of T&T’s National Open Short Course Championships.
The 16 year old set a new National 15-17 Record in the 100 Metre Individual Medley, finishing in 56.68.
Liam Carrington was second with a National Record of his own, breaking the 13-14 record in 1:00.73 as he finished with an identical time to third-placed Josiah Changar.
In the 50 Metre Freestyle A Final, Blackman touched the wall in 22.40 seconds, Cadell Lyons was second in 22.49, and Keishawn Daniel was third in 23.75.
In the Open 400 Metre Freestyle, Blackman finished in 4:07.35, Zachary Anthony was second in 4:25.51, and Josiah Changar was third in 4:32.97.
Blackman also won the 100 Metre Backstroke in 1:04.98 seconds and the 200 Metre Butterfly in 2:16.34 seconds.
