The 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games officially kicked off on Friday with its opening ceremony at the Felix Sanchez Olympic Stadium in the Dominican Republic.
The event will see 37 nations compete in various sporting disciplines.
During the ceremony T&T graced the stage displaying national pride, led by flag bearers…highly accomplished boxer Tianna Guy and decorated cyclist Kwesi Browne.
Moving on to Saturday, cyclist Teniel Campbell captured this country’s first medal, winning bronze in the the Women’s Individual Time Trial.
Meanwhile in tennis saw Dillon Beckles advance to the men’s singles quarter finals with a 2-nil win over El Salvador’s Cesar Cruz.
