Call For Lawyers To Return To The Days Of Civility

Retired Justice Rolston Nelson says the good old days of the legal fraternity have all but gone and have been replaced with combativeness. He was the featured speaker at the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago’s annual dinner and awards. Justice Nelson was the longest-serving judge in the history of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) and has been practising law since the 70s. He told the gathered legal practitioners that in the days of wigs and no air conditioning, things were more civil, but now, in his opinion, a shift has occurred.
