A review and update of the Primary and Secondary School Curriculum is needed urgently.

The Committee on Human Rights, Equality and Diversity met on Friday with education stakeholders to discuss the right to quality education with specific focus on the review and updating of the Primary and Secondary School Curriculum to include entrepreneurship and sport related events.
Mrs. Thompson-Ahye said the current curriculum is directly related to the crime situation the country.
First Vice President of the Association of Principals of Public Secondary Schools of Trinidad and Tobago, David Simon, agreed and added that there also needs to be a change in the way Youth Camps and Tech-Voc or technical vocations are approached.
