Celebrating Sy’rai – SEA Top 3 Student Receives New Computer

The Office of the Member of Parliament for D’Abadie/O’Meara in conjunction with an Arima businessman have come together to celebrate young success coming from their hometown.

One of the third-placed students in this year’s SEA exam, Sy’rai Joseph of Malabar, who secured herself a place at St. Joseph’s Convent Port of Spain, was presented with a computer on Saturday to aid with her online schooling.

The computer and accessories were donated by MP Lisa Morris-Julian, while Mr. Haseeb Ali of GBS Mobility presented other items. Mr. Ali said he was pleased with the young lady’s academic performance and wanted to assist in getting her ready for her new school.

Representing MP Morris-Julian at the Handover Ceremony was Arima’s Deputy Mayor and Chairman of D’Abadie/O’Meara Constituency, Mr. Herman Noel, who congratulated the St. Joseph’s Convent student and wished her well with her future endeavours.

Meanwhile, both Sy’rai and her mother expressed gratitude for the assistance they received.
