Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, says the Ministry will resume its Covid-19 Booster Programme on January 6th.
Speaking at the Port of Spain General Hospital on Sunday, he said the Programme will roll-out every weekend at malls across the country for everyone, particularly the elderly and the immuno-compromised.
Minister Deyalsingh said those who are not vaccinated will be encouraged to be inoculated, and those who are vaccinated will be encouraged to get boosted.
He said we can no longer rely on lockdowns and travel restrictions to protect the population, especially vulnerable groups.
As for his Ministry’s performance throughout the year, he gave this country’s healthcare system an “excellent” rating.
