The Down Syndrome Family Network held its Buddy Walk 2026, bringing together people as they raised awareness of the genetic condition, on Sunday morning.
Minister of Social Development and Family Services, Vandana Mohit, signaled the start of the Down Syndrome Family Network’s Buddy Walk 2026, which marks the organisation’s 15th anniversary.
Also joining the walk for a great cause were Minister of Education, Dr, Michael Dowlath, and Minister of Works and Infrastructure, Jearlean John.
Founder & Chairman of the Network, Fitzherbert Glen Niles, through the organisation, continues to advocate for the human rights, inclusion, and empowerment of persons with Down syndrome.
Families, friends, caregivers all made the journey to Queen’s Royal College, where all participants received their medal for their accomplishments and light refreshments which included doubles.
