Beginning next month, Finance Minister Colm Imbert will take on the role of Chairman of the Board at the CAF Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, serving a one-year term.
Speaking at a Signing Ceremony for a Grant Agreement on Tuesday afternoon, Minister Imbert said he was recently reminded of the appointment by CAF.
“I might also announce that I was reminded in a meeting with CAF yesterday that the Chairmanship of the Board of Directors is rotated among countries, and next month, the Finance Minister of Trinidad and
Tobago will be the Chairman of the Board of Directors at CAF. I was reminded. Sometimes I have so much to do I don’t remember these things, and that’s a great honour for Trinidad and Tobago for our Finance Minister to be the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and that’s a one year appointment apparently.”
