New Syphilis cases are on the rise in the Americas particularly among the reproductive population according to a report by the World Health Organisation. Syphilis, a bacterial infection which is sexually transmitted, is a preventable and curable disease, but cases have escalated globally by over 1 million in 2022, reaching a total of 8 million.
