Health Ministry Strengthens Workplace Policies And National Blood Drive Efforts

Minister of Health Dr. Lackram Bodoe says we must continue to innovate, educate, and collaborate to build safer, healthier, and more resilient workplaces.

Speaking at the Health, Safety and Environment Awards hosted by the American Chamber of T&T, Dr. Bodoe says the Ministry of Health continues to work with stakeholders to strengthen workplace health policies, promote mental wellness, and ensure our national frameworks align with international standards.

“We cannot do this alone. We need the private sector, we need civil society, and we need every individual to champion HSE as a shared responsibility.”

In addition to improving workplace policies, Dr. Bodoe is also calling on corporate T&T for their support with the national blood donation drive. He says such efforts go beyond healthcare as they represent an investment in the well-being of communities and a commitment to fostering a culture of compassion and resilience.

“Every unit of blood donated can save up to three lives. It is a gift of life, a gesture of solidarity, and a vital component of our emergency response systems.”
