Heritage Introduces Workplace EV Charging At Santa Flora And Point Fortin

Heritage Petroleum Company Limited (Heritage) has installed electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at its Santa Flora Administration Compound and Point Fortin Marine Base, giving employees free and convenient charging while they work.

The stations were commissioned on September 28, 2026, as part of a pilot initiative to improve access to workplace charging and support employees who choose electric vehicles for their commute. The project includes Level 2 charging stations, supporting electrical infrastructure and designated parking spaces at both locations.

Acting CEO Kerry Rampersad described the move as a practical green initiative that supports the company’s sustainability goals while delivering real value to employees. He said making EV charging available at Heritage facilities helps reduce the company’s carbon footprint and gives employees an added benefit, since they can charge at work at no fuel cost.

The initiative aligns with Heritage’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) framework, particularly its focus on environmental stewardship. By introducing workplace charging, the company says it is taking a practical step to support electric mobility and encourage lower-carbon commuting among employees.

Rampersad charged the first vehicle at the commissioning ceremony at the Heritage Administration Building in Santa Flora.
