Newcomers Lucknow Super Giants continued their fine form in their first-ever Indian Premier League appearance.

Winning the toss and asking Delhi Capitals to bat, they restricted D.C. to a low 149 for 3 in 20 overs. Opener Shaw topped the scorers with a quick fire 61. West Indian Rovman Powell could only gain three in the low scoring encounter.
Ravi Bishnoi did the bulk of the damage with the ball, grabbing 2 for 22.

Lucknow had a solid start gaining 73 runs for the first wicket. South African Quinton De Kock led from the front with 80 off 52 balls. Evin Lewis struggled, facing 13 balls for his five before being caught. LSG eventually got over the line in 19.4 overs, registering their third win from four matches and propelling themselves to second spot.
