Madam Glam Expo Celebrates 16 Years Of Beauty And Entrepreneurship

For decades, the beauty industry was widely viewed as a non-permanent gig, a temporary side hustle or a fallback career — a stereotype Gail and Shanice Young have spent over a decade breaking with their Madam Glam Expo.

Beauty entrepreneur Marie Frances Hull, owner of House of Cousins TT, a decant fragrance and cosmetics business, says the expo has created opportunities, exposure and economic empowerment.

“For my brand House of Cousins TT, I went from a cocktail table opportunity — given to me while assisting Glam Lash by Avi two years ago — to having a full display. I think the expo shows that Caribbean entrepreneurs have the talent, innovation and resilience to succeed,” Hull said.

She added that exhibitors she spoke with enjoyed networking with customers and fellow beauty vendors, as well as the strong sales they achieved.

The Madam Glam Expo 2026 marked 16 years of excellence in the beauty industry last week on May 31st, bringing together more than 50 entrepreneurs and exhibitors from across the Caribbean.

The expo featured unique offerings, including custom handmade jewellery and locally made skincare products, highlighting the creativity and innovation of Caribbean entrepreneurship.

Beyond beauty, the event has evolved into a key regional platform for entrepreneurship, highlighting how the industry continues to create income, careers and opportunities — especially for women-led businesses across the Caribbean.
