Maloney And Unison Open Showcase League With Wins

Where Talent Ignites Opportunity!

This is the mantra for the Trinidad and Tobago National Showcase League, which recently hosted its opening round of matches.

The first round saw victories in the Boys’ Under-14 Division for Maloney Real Footballers and Ultimate Unison.

The Bon Air Secondary School Football Field was one of three venues that hosted the first round of matches for the TNT National Showcase League. The league offers an opportunity for young footballers to showcase their skills.

In the Boys’ Under-14 Division, Maloney Real Footballers took on Project Pro.

With the match locked at 1-1, Maloney captain Tarriq Kerr squared the ball to Kayden Jamerson. The result? Maloney ran out 2-1 winners.

In the day’s second Under-14 match, Ultimate Unison took on Tinto Sporting Academy.

The game’s first goal was scored by the purple-clad Unison, when Deandre Pollard controlled the ball. His powerful strike found the back of the net.

Things got worse for Tinto when Daijon De Silva took down Joshua Kerr. A penalty was awarded to Unison.

The Tinto keeper went the wrong way as Kerr comfortably sent his team 2-0 up.

Tinto was awarded a penalty of their own after a late tackle by Kerr on Rhonell Murray.

Up stepped Tinto captain Zidan Tinto, who scored in convincing fashion from the spot.
