Approximately two acres of land in the La Horquetta area are being considered for the construction of the La Horquetta Youth Facility.
On Saturday, Member of Parliament for La Horquetta/Talparo, Foster Cummings, visited the site along with Housing Minister Pennelope Beckles and Local Government Minister Kazim Hosein.
MP Cummings, who is also Minister of Youth Development and National Service, told TTT News the site has already been approved for use by the Cabinet. He said he looks forward to the youth from the area benefitting from the facility when it is constructed.
And Housing Minister Pennelope Beckles said the land at the moment is assigned to the Housing Development Corporation. She indicated, however, that plans are in motion to have the property handed over to the La Horquetta community.
