Key Points From the Ministry of Health’s Virtual Media Conference – Monday 13th September 2021
– Dr. Richards provided an update on the status of the parallel health care system and indicated that currently there are 352 persons admitted with 279 in Hospitals and 73 in Step-Down Facilities. Overall occupancy is at 34% and has been slowly but consistently decreasing, Dr. Richards however warned the population not to get complacent as this can quickly reverse.
– Dr Abdool-Richards shared a breakdown of the hospital occupancy and stated that the Ward Level occupancy is at 34%, ICU at 66% and HDU at 38%.
