Residents of Ecclesville are getting easier access to government services, as several agencies brought their services directly into the community.
The outreach programme, hosted at the Ecclesville Presbyterian School, focused on assisting residents, including farmers in the agricultural community.
It was a one-stop shop for residents of Ecclesville, as government agencies came together to provide information, support and services closer to home.
The outreach programme, led by Member of Parliament for Mayaro, Nicholas Morris, included representatives from the Eastern Regional Health Authority, NAMDEVCO, the Agricultural Development Bank, TT Connect, the Cocoa Board and other government agencies.
“What we have here today in the community of Ecclesville are officials from the ERHA, NAMDEVCO, ADB, TT Connect, the Cocoa Board, the Credit Alaska Squad, and again NAMDEVCO. There’s a reason why we have a number of organizations from the Ministry of Agriculture here. Ecclesville is a key agricultural community within this constituency, and one of the key priorities is to provide support to farmers. That is why today we are very pleased to have brought these government services to the Ecclesville community.”
One of the agencies participating was TT Connect, which provided residents with information on accessing government services and assistance with applications.
Customer Service Specialist Catherine Paul says these community engagements help bring support directly to people who may face challenges accessing traditional service locations.
“We also offer information on government services. You can visit TT Connect to register for GATE and eTax. We also partner with different ministries to bring services closer to communities, making them more accessible for people who are unable to visit government offices.”
The Ecclesville outreach forms part of a wider series of community engagements planned across the Mayaro constituency, aimed at connecting residents with essential government services and support.
