After years of occupying a temporary structure, the Fanny Village Government Primary School in Point Fortin finally has a new building to call its own. The school was commissioned today.
The original building that once housed the school was destroyed by fire in 2015. Since then, the students have had to occupy an alternate location in a pre-fab structure opposite the new building.
At the Commissioning Ceremony, Minister of Education, Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, thanked the staff and students for their patience. The Minister also encouraged the students and staff to take care of their building.
