Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley sought to set the record straight on Tuesday night as he discussed issues surrounding the National Gas Company (NGC).
Dr. Rowley refuted claims made by the Opposition that the Government failed in their negotiations and dealings with foreign interests regarding matters pertaining to NGC.
In fact, Dr Rowley blamed a lot of the problems in the sector on the slow responses of the previous administration.
The Prime Minister said because of smart thinking and negotiations with the business’ foreign interests, the country is now making what it should.
Dr. Rowley said that the Government today is more interested in protecting the assets of the people of T&T, than those who served before, and they continue to work to achieve this.
