President Paula-Mae Weekes is in quarantine and as a result, there will be no video Christmas message this year from the President.
A media release from the Office of the President says this is because the President’s mother, who she lives with, has contracted COVID and, as recommended, President Weekes is in quarantine.
According to the Office of the President, the President’s mother who was vaccinated and boosted, experienced only mild symptoms and is now symptom-free but still being monitored carefully.
It says further that President Weekes, who is also vaccinated and boosted, continues to test Negative and is working from home during the quarantine period.
