Repairs To Charlotteville Jetty Ahead Of Next Cruise Season

Upgrades to the landing of the Charlotteville Jetty is the latest undertaking of the Speyside District, Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and Urban Development (DIQUD).

The Jetty, which now measures 5ft x 20ft, will be widened to 7ft x 37ft.

The project commenced today Tuesday 4th June, 2024 and is estimated to be completed in thirty (30) days. This is a response to the needs of the cruise tourism industry to have a more efficient and safer berthing for cruise liners entering the bay. Vessels being serviced along the existing jetty experienced some difficulty during the recently concluded cruise season.

Accordingly, throughout the renovation exercise, access to the jetty facility will be restricted for health and safety reasons; heavy equipment will also be in operation.

The Division apologises for any inconvenience that may be caused and thanks the community for its usual cooperation.
