Rock Hard Cement is closing its doors.
The cement company blames its decision to shut down on harsh restrictions, limitations, and high import duties.
Rock Hard announced its decisions to cease operations on social media this morning.
The company said they have fought the Government on both the rate of duty, and imposition of the quota.
Additionally, the cement company claimed that they were discriminated from the onset, and though they took the Government to court and were successful, they were faced with higher import duties.
Despite the decision to close up shop here in Trinidad, Rock Hard said they will continue to operate in other Caribbean countries.
