After a narrow opening-round defeat, Royalty Basketball Academy bounced back to secure a hard-fought victory over the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force, on Thursday.
Their First Division match in the Lincoln “Cripple” Griffith North Zone Basketball League didn’t begin well, with Defence Force holding an eight-point, half-time lead, at the Woodbrook Youth Facility
Royalty fought back after the restart. Jedaiah King scored 19 points and Jason Best added 18, while foul trouble hampered Defence Force.
That late surge helped Royalty Basketball Academy clinch an 86 to 80 victory.
