Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Eli Zakour says demand for Tobago Carnival travel remains exceptionally strong, with Caribbean Airlines already selling out its initial allocation of flights.
He revealed that Caribbean Airlines added 7,000 extra seats for Tobago Carnival, after its original flights were sold out.
Minister Zakour said the overwhelming response has prompted further discussions on increasing airlift capacity.
“As you know, a few weeks ago, Caribbean Airlines would have sold out all flights for Tobago Carnival. And just this week, Caribbean Airlines added 7,000 additional seats. I’m advised that 88% has already been sold out. And I’m in conversation now with Caribbean Airlines to add even more seats in the coming days, and this will be announced soon.”
