Tobagonians on the Northern end of the island can now access efficient broadband service through the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago’s Universal Service Fund Programme.
Chairman of the TATT, Gilbert Peterson, said they have identified 24 communities within the country facing gaps in service. St. John Parish is one, and the decision was made to start the project in this community.
Service communications provider, FLOW, is the contractor for the project, offering what they described as affordable packages to residents of Parlatuvier, L’Anse Fourmi, and Bloody Bay. Minister of Digital Transformation, Hassel Bacchus, who was also at the launch, emphasised the project is focused on improving the standard of living for the community.
