THA Minority Council Seeks Answers On Milford Road Esplanade

The Tobago House of Assembly Minority Council is questioning whether consultations were held before works began at the Milford Road Esplanade, and whether the views of the people would be considered.

Minority Leader Kelvon Morris told TTT News while the upgrades are a welcome addition, his concern lies with the relocation of the “I Love Tobago” sign. He is concerned whether the movement of the sign will solve the challenges it aims to address or will cause new ones. The Minority also wants to know what will be the final cost for the upgrade works.

Last week the Chairman of the Esplanade’s Board, Kevon Mckenna, revealed that the I Love Tobago sign will be moved to the Esplanade while booths have been repainted and toilet facilities refurbished. Additions to the space will also include a play park, Cambio, and new tenants will begin business soon.
