It was a hero’s welcome in Tobago for Paralympic Silver Medallist Akeem Stewart at the A.N.R. Robinson International Airport as he was presented with a cheque for $100,000 by the Division of Community Development, Youth Development and Sport of the Tobago House of Assembly.
Stewart was also serenaded by an ensemble of Community-based cultural practitioners courtesy the Division of Tourism who expertly executed Tobagonian, Afro Caribbean, Folk and Calypso cultural performances.
The Discus F64 Finalist, who made his season’s best throw of 59.66 meters at 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, was recently a recipient of a $150,000 cheque from the Ministry of Sport and Community Development.
