A digital boost is coming for the nearly 400,000 persons who access free to air television content in Trinidad and Tobago.
Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) will replace the current analogue free to air television that has been around for decades.
According to Executive Officer for Technology and Engineering at the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago, Kurleigh Prescod, consumers of this digital evolution will see a sophisticated, high quality and advanced featured product.
Mr. Prescod noted that DTT is meant to keep up with the demands and expectations of the consumer of tomorrow in an evolving media landscape.
According to Mr Prescod approximately 25% of the Trinidad and Tobago population, or 100,000 households, primarily consume free to air television.
