Approximately 4,300 young people have benefited from the Ministry of Education’s Vacation Revision Programme in the last three years.
Minister of Education, Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, said she is pleased with the upward trend in performances by students, and urged parents to allow their children to attend the voluntary programme.
The Minister noted that the Curriculum has been broadened to include art, culture, and volunteer mentorship. There is also the provision of free lunches to further bolster participation levels.
The Vacation Revision Programme is one of the components of the Ministry of Education’s Remediation Programme conducted during the July/August vacation period.
The Programme caters for students scoring below 50% at the Secondary Entrance Assessment.
